LAID-BACK NAPKINS – LAID-OFF CROCKERY
Exhibition by Anne Fabricius Møller.
An exhibition of napkins folded obviously and frayed naturally, together with laid-off patched-up plates and cups from Anne’s cupboard.
Over the years, Anne has been given or has inherited discarded crockery from family and friends – much of it chipped. She has now repaired a selection of these items with glazing and so re-created them as worthy of other people’s cupboards, too.
Anne has printed the napkins with simple patterns and colours. The frays play an important role, and they vary in length from short architect’s frays to long hippie frays. The napkins are presented slightly folded and relaxed.
The exhibition will be shown in “Butik for Borddækning”, opening on Friday September 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. The exhibition will be shown until, and including, October 8, 2011.
